{31 Days To Clean} & Giveaway

I’ve decided to participate in the {31 Days to Clean} over at HOMEmaker’s Challenge.

The challenges are based on the e-book, 31 Days to Clean, by Sarah Mae.

“Journey with me for 31 Days as we get our homes and our hearts in order. Give me 31 days and I’ll give you not only a cleaner home, but a vision for one.” –Sarah Mae in reference to her e-book

I have had this book since May, but I haven’t finished the entire book or implemented it yet. It’s not too late for you to get the e-book and follow along too! HOMEmaker’s Challenge will be holding giveaways for those participating and a special offer available for the e-book!

In preparation for the challenges, I would like to introduce you to my arsenal of cleaning products:

Basic H2 (on the left) in 3 different spray bottles:

1. All-Purpose Cleaner

2. Degreaser

3. Window Cleaner

Scour Off (the round container in front)

Basic G (the larger bottle on the right)

Super Microfiber Window Cloth (light blue)

Super Microfiber Cleaning Cloth (teal)

I am not exaggerating when I say that, aside from dishes and laundry, I can clean my entire house with the products pictured above!! Talk about saving money and freeing up space in your house! Wow!

I was able to get rid of an entire box of cleaning products…plus some!

I no longer need separate products for toilets, carpet, laminate wood floors, tile, oven, windows, glass stovetop, stainless steel appliances, dusting, bathrooms, countertops, sinks, showers/tubs, etc…

Here is a quick overview of the products I will be using:

Basic H2

page1

It only takes 2 drops of Basic H2 in 16 ounces of water to make the window cleaner…2 drops!! That’s less than 1 cent per gallon!!

The all-purpose cleaner works out to be an amazing 22 cents per gallon!!

I started using these products 1 year ago (after lots of research) and I will never use anything else! This stuff is A-MA-ZING!!

{Here are some other posts on what I have used Basic H2 for!}

My favorite Basic H2 use that I posted about was when I used it to get dried purple fabric paint out of my light-colored carpet! Yep!!

Scour Off:

This stuff is like a little tub of cherry-scented magic!! Gone are the days of harsh fumes from oven cleaners and stuck on burnt whatever on my glass cooktop! It contains cherry pits which gives it the cherry scent…love it!!

So long burnt-on clam chowder…

Hello mirror-like shine!

Scour Off also works great for removing soap scum in my tubs and showers!

Basic G:

Basic G is Shaklee’s concentrated germicide. It is effective against 32 types of bacteria (including antibiotic-resistant strains such as MRSA and VRE) in addition to many human viruses, animal viruses, and fungi……Lysol is only effective against 8 types of bacteria!!

Once Basic G is used on a surface, it remains effective in disinfecting on that surface for 3 days…..the effectiveness of bleach wears off after 1 hour!!

You don’t have to tell me twice! Bleach and Lysol are no longer welcome in my house!

Do you want to know the best part about using these products? I have completely eliminated toxic cleaning chemicals from my home! I no longer have to worry about my kids breathing in the cleaning products while I am cleaning! I no longer get light-headed while cleaning my shower! Admit it…you’ve all been there!

So…I am saving money, eliminating toxic chemicals/fumes, and using a product that works better than anything else I have tried! Now do you see why I am never turning back from using these products!?!

In addition to these awesome products, I also have my trusty Hoover Floormate and microfiber dust mop:

I *love* my FloorMate! I feel like most floor cleaners just push around the dirt, but not the FloorMate! I also don’t have to wait for the floors to dry after I use it. It does such a great job at collecting the dirty water that the floors are almost dry immediately! I used to have to wait until my kids were napping to clean the floors so that they wouldn’t walk on the wet floors…not anymore!

I use the microfiber mop in between the times that I use my FloorMate. Since I use Basic H2 in my FloorMate (absolutely no residue left on my floors!), I can just use my all-purpose spray bottle to spray the floor and then scrub it up with my microfiber mop. Works great! Now if only I could find a product that would repel the dog hair from my floors!

So…now that you know the tools that I will be using during this challenge, it’s time for a little giveaway!!

I will be giving 5 of you a chance to try some Basic H2! I can’t wait for you to see how great it works! I promise that you will be blown away!

Winners will each receive a sample of Basic H2! A sample may not sound like a lot, but it is enough to make 2 full-size (16 ounce) spray bottles of cleaner…one window cleaner and one all-purpose cleaner.
